The 2012 Cherokee County Senior Games/SilverArts were a huge success! Local seniors went on to win 32 medals in the statewide competitions in Raleigh in September, 2012. We had the most participants in our five-year history and brought home more medals than ever before.
Cherokee County Senior Games/SilverArts is sanctioned by the North Carolina Senior Games, Inc., an organization that was established in 1983 to create a year-round health promotion and education program for adults 55 years of age or better. Senior Games/SilverArts is a holistic approach to keeping the body, mind and spirit fit while enjoying the company of family, spectators and volunteers. View our Seniors in Action newsletter for more information. Be sure to see our list of sponsors on the third page of the newsletter. Let's support them!
Who can participate? Men and women ages 55 years or better. Participants must be a Cherokee, Clay or Graham County resident for a minimum of three (3) consecutive months. Come Play With Us!
